Kenneth Wayne Dickenson, 81, of Moody passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive. Visitation will be one hour prior, 1 p.m. at Grace Gardens.
Kenneth was born May 24, 1934, in Moody to Clayton Vernon Dickenson and Mary Francis Jenkins. Kenneth served in the US Navy for four years in aviation. He was an outstanding salesman for Cook Paint and Kelly Moore Paint for over 40 years. He retired from Kelly Moore Paint in 2003. Kenneth married Ann Lewis on July 13, 1989.
He was a generous man who was always available to help his family and friends when they needed anything. Although he never had children of his own, when Kenneth married Ann a special family was formed. Kenneth loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was an amazing brother and often mentioned as the favorite Uncle by his nieces and nephews. Kenneth was known for his love of animals and the outdoors. Often times you could find him outside on the lawnmower with a special pet beside him. Kenneth's nickname by some was, Dr. Doolittle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Dickenson; mother, Mary Francis Dickenson; second mother, Margaret Ruth Dickenson; and brothers, Billy Garmon and Tim Garmon.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 25 years, Ann Dickenson; son, Jim Harralson and wife, Julie, of Gatesville; son Steve Harralson and wife, Tammy, of West; daughter, Tammy Thompson of Waco; grandchildren, Adrian, Shelby, Brittany, Aaron, Jace, and Tristan; brother, Donald and wife, Ann Dickenson, of Cibolo; sister, Glenda and husband, Bill Hart, of Colleyville; sister, Marilyn and husband, Jerry Tennant, of Colleyville; sister, Karen and husband, Barry Houck, of McGregor.
