Karson Swartz passed away Sunday, February 5th, 2023. A visitation with family will be Thursday, February 9th, 2023 from 6 - 8 PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. A graveside service will be the following day, Friday, February 10, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Landon Collard officiating.
Karson Chase Swartz was born April 15, 1985 in Killeen, Texas. He had been a resident of Waco most of his life. He graduated from Midway High School in 2003 and attended McLennan Community College. He worked as a car salesman after college, a vendor specialist for Late Model Restoration for 12 years, a parts manager at Douglass Chevrolet and more recently worked as an estimator for a collision center. Karson loved cars, especially sports cars, and passed this passion on to his son, Ellis.
Karson passed away at the age of 37 on February 5, 2023 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Curtis Swartz and Sharon Gail Hill Swartz; sister, Kristen Raeshele Swartz; and grandparents, Jack & Lucille Hill and William & Beatrice Swartz.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Alison Keeton Swartz of Waco; son, Ellis Swartz of Waco; half-sister, Charisse Reed and husband, Les of Temple; parents-in-law, Dave and Janice Keeton of Waco; sister-in-law, Adrienne Keeton of Waco; uncle, Keith Hill of Waco; and several cousins and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Mathew Hellums, Keith Hill, Ron Kutz, Justin Martin, Reagan Olson, Ryan Olson, Scott Springer, and Jay Walling. Honorary pallbearers will be David Keeton and Ellis Swartz.
