Karmin Tergerson

July 6, 1988 — March 9, 2011

Karmin Brown was born to Richard and Gail Brown on July 6, 1988 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Karmin died in her home in Bellmead, Texas on March 9, 2011 while, she and her fiancée Daryl Lee “Bam Bam” Farmer were sleeping in their bed when early that morning their home caught fire and burned.
Later known as Karmin Tergerson , she was best known for her smile and bright personality. Karmin’s smile could make the cloudiest day seem sunny to anyone who was within a five mile radius of her. As a little girl, Karmin could always be found at her daddy’s side. As her dad, Richard Brown, worked under the hood of a car, Karmin would be close by playing with her toy tools of screwdrivers and wrenches. She would ride with him in the car, giggling, and shouting, “Faster daddy, faster!” Together, they rode her dad’s motorcycle, they rode four-wheelers, and just about anything that had an engine. Karmin loved getting her hands dirty. However, throughout Karmin’s life she grew into a statuesque beautiful young woman who carried herself with an incomparable elegance. While she never grew out of her desire to play outdoors, Karmin enjoyed being a girl. She and her mother Gail upheld their long tradition every year by making Christmas cookies for their family and friends. Her love for Jesus grew thanks to her adopted dad Terry Tergerson’s guidance and understanding. Karmin also dreamed that one day both her dad’s Richard and Terry would walk down the church isle to give her away. Karmin also released her inner geek when she spent time with her step-mother, Jennifer. When she was not spending time with Jennifer at book shops, her nose could be found buried deep in the pages of any book she could get her hands on. She craved knowledge. After Karmin graduated Axtel High school, she went on to pursue her education at Mclennan Community College working toward her degree in child care development. However, for anyone who knew Karmin, they may argue that her natural gift for working with children already earned her a PhD. Between her soft spoken manner, compassionate understanding, and inner child like qualities she calmed the most agitated child, resulting in smiles and giggles. She adored being a big sister to Samantha Tergerson, Alyssa Lynn Watson, and Derek Watson. However, her love was unconditional when it came to her soul mate Daryl Lee “Bam Bam” Farmer. To many who knew them, Daryl was the lantern that held Karmin’s beaconing light. Their love for one another grew stronger with each passing year of the five years they were allowed to share on this earth with one another. Karmin’s wish to become a mother was in the process of being granted when shortly before her death Daryl and Karmin found out they were pregnant. Aside from their fierce love for one another, their family, and anything with paws, the shimmer of light within her beacon, we can now only name Baby Farmer, was Karmin and Daryl’s greatest achievement. While we may never again hear the quirky little way she said, “Hi” we will always see her beacon of light in every new sunrise, and “Bam Bam” will hold her up high for all to see.
Preceded in death by grandparents Leland and Regina Tergerson and uncle Erik Tergerson
Karmin and her unborn baby are survived by her mother, Gail Tergerson; father, Richard Brown and step-mother Jennifer; adopted father, Terry Tergerson; grandparents Ada and Bill Brown; grandparents Ernest and Mary Lou Turman; and many other extended family members.
