Karen Maree Faseler of Waco went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the age of 72.
Karen was born on August 7, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas to Milton and Helen Wiemers. She grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. In her adult years, she worked as an executive assistant for various private businesses and corporations. She was an avid reader, a talented seamstress, and an excellent cook. She also enjoyed gathering with friends & family to play cards. Karen’s greatest joy was being mom to her two daughters, “Grams” to her seven grandchildren, and great grandmother to her brand new great-grandson. She was also a devoted follower of Christ and attended Columbus Avenue Baptist Church.
Karen is survived by her daughters Dawn Jones and Katie Forbis (Husband Jason), grandchildren Christian Forbis, Robert Forbis, Bekah Forbis (Fiance´ Bob), Tyler Jones (Wife Yasmin), Seth Jones, Sawyer Jones, Sierra Jones, and great-grandson Liam Jones. Karen also leaves behind many close friends and extended family members.
Karen is preceded in death by parents Milton and Helen Wiemers and brother Bruce Wiemers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Waco, Texas on August 5th at 2:00 with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Carenet Pregnancy Center or to the North Central Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
