Karen Erskine

Karen Erskine age 55, of Waco passed away Sunday February 12, 2012 at a local hospital due to complications from a heart transplant. Memorial Services will be 6PM Saturday February 18, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Karen was born on May 23, 1956 in Waco, Texas to Bill and Helene Wasylyszyn.

She was preceded in death by her father Bill.

Karen is survived by two sons Brian Higley and John Erskine III, her mother Helene and step-father Charles Perry, a sister Linda Mitchell, two brothers Bill Wasylyszyn and Johnny Wasylyszyn, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Karen was a caring and loving mother, and everyone who had the pleasure of getting to know her was instantly struck by her warm and happy disposition. She was the epitome of selflessness, always willing to do without so that those around her could be comfortable. She was very patriotic, and was a proud member of the United States Army for several years. Before she became an angel in heaven she was truly an angel on earth. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
