Judy Mauerman

Judy (Juda) Mauerman age 49, passed away Sunday April 15, 2012 at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be 10AM Friday April 20, 2012, at St. Louis Catholic Church with Father Justin Nguyen officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM Thursday April 19, 2012, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Judy was born on October 27, 1962, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Francis and Suzanne Kane. She married her high school sweetheart, Danny, in October, 1980. At that time, they relocated to Texas and began their life together. Juda was a loving wife, mother, and MeMe who devoted her time to her family. She was a well-known cosmetologist as co-owner of Executive Hairquarters with a client list that included people from all over Central Texas. Juda not only took care of their hair, but she was a dear friend and confidante as well. Her love for serving others was shown through her volunteer efforts with Meals on Wheels and Talitha Koum, where she helped with Sunday School, mentored two loving boys, and spent time nurturing children at the center.

She was preceded in death by her father Francis Kane; brother Ed Kane; father-in-law Dave Mauerman; and sister-in-law Joyce Kane.

Judy is leaving her legacy with her loving husband Dan; two precious daughters Jamie and Joanie; her sweet granddaughter Lexi (Boo) Moody; mother Suzanne Kane; sisters Shelly Kane, Mary Nagel and husband Bill; brothers John Kane, Joe Kane and wife Debbie, and Paul Kane; mother-in-law Joan Mauerman; sisters-in-law Pam Damon and husband Dave, Debbie Meehan and husband Tim, and Maureen Dues; brothers-in-law Davey Mauerman and wife Tina, and Jimmy Mauerman; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Steve Opperman, Sam Moody, Antwan Warren, Montierra (MoMo) Warren, Javon Bryant and BJ Walker.
Memorials may be made to the First National Bank of McGregor in care of the Judy Mauerman Memorial Benefit fund or the Judy Mauerman Memorial College fund for the benefit of Lexi Moody.
