Joyce Goddard

Joyce Laverne Goddard, 81, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013 after battling a long illness. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 – 8 Sunday at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr.

Joyce was born October 23, 1932 in Frost to Walter and Clara Young. After graduating high school, Joyce married Charles Goddard December 27, 1951. She had two loving sons. Joyce worked for many years for Olan Mills Photography in Waco before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Clara Young, brothers, Nolan Young and Darrell Young; son, Darrell Goddard.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles Goddard; son, Richard Goddard and wife, Mary; grandchild, Tephanie Lynn; sister, Wanda LaRoche; niece, Juanette Biggs and husband, George; nephew, Elvoyde Young and wife, Linda
