Joseph Andrew “Jay” Smith passed away after a very short battle with cancer at his home, Jan. 4, 2011.
Memorial Services will be Wednesday, January 12,2011 at the Houston Community College Administration Building at 2:00 p.m. 3100 Main Street, Houston, Texas
Born March 26, 1955, he attended Midway and then TSTC. Upon graduation from TSTC, he accepted a position at the Houston Community College TV department.
Survivors include sisters, Mary Dee Silva, Jennifer and Erik Slover and their children, Christopher and Hailey, Andy Silva, and Jesika Silva and her son Anthony; brothers, William Smith and wife, Sonia, Christina and Gene Keeton, and their children Andrew and Branden, nephew Micah Smith, and niece Ashleigh Rocker.
A special thank you to his HCCTV family for all the love and support they gave Jay through out his fight. They wanted to send out a very special thank you to Mary Ramos. Also, to the Scott and White Home Health and Hospice team, our family wants to express their heartfelt gratitude for the kind, loving care you gave Jay and the family.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Scott and White Hospice.
