Jose Valdez

Jose Manuel Valdez, 63, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29 from 7-9 pm, with a Prayer Service beginning at 7pm at Highland Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 30 at 10 am at Highland Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Jose was born May 20, 1954 in Dilley, Texas and attended Dilley High School. He later moved to Waco, where he began his family and was involved in church and sporting events for youth. However, his passion was his four grandchildren and spending time watching sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose H. and Maria Valdez; sister, Sovieda Guajardo; brother, Gilbert Valdez; and nephew, Jamie Garcia.

He leaves his children, son, Jose Valdez; daughter, Amanda Valdez (Anthony Robinson); four grandchildren who he loved dearly, Andre Valdez Bell, J.J. Valdez Bell, Brianna Valdez Davis, Lexy Valdez Carter; brothers, Joel Valdez (Lupe), Valentine Valdez (Terry), Abel Valdez, David Valdez, Jessie Valdez; sisters, Sylvia Valdez, Cynthia Valdez; and many nephews and nieces.
