Jose "Pepe" Olvera, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on April 14, 2024. Jose was a devoted father, grandfather and husband, with a heart of gold. A visitation in Jose's honor will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Friday, April 19, 2024 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. A rosary will begin at 12:30pm, Saturday, April 20, 2024 at St. Eugene Catholic Church in McGregor, Texas with a Mass following at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at McGregor Cemetery.
Jose was born in Mexico on March 19, 1964, and throughout his life, he touched the hearts of those around him with his selfless nature. He was also a carpenter who dedicated over 30 years of his life at Fleetwood Homes in Bellmead, Texas. Known affectionately as "Pepe" to those closest to him, Jose's legacy extends far beyond his professional accomplishments. His colleagues were not just coworkers but dear friends.
Beyond his work, Jose's true passions lay in simple joys - singing, dancing, and writing songs that spoke to the depth and passion of his heart. He found happiness in savoring good food and bringing smiles to others by sharing fruits and corn. Jose's generous spirit knew no bounds; always putting others before himself, he embodied the essence of kindness.
One of Jose's proudest accomplishments was his cherished family. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he treasured every moment spent with them. On February 14th, he married, Delia, creating a bond that was unbreakable.
Jose is preceded in death by his brother Hector Olvera and his mother Josefina.
Survivors include his loving wife, Delia Olvera, beloved children; Christina Martinez, Isaac Olvera, Raul Olvera, and Candace Wachsmann, his grandchildren; Alexander Trujillo, Josue Martinez, Alicia Olvera, Erick Martinez Jr, Amanda Trujillo, Ayden Trujillo, Alysia Savage, Mathew Olvera, Ivan Olvera, Madelynn Martinez, Scarlett Olvera, Mason Olvera, Andrew Olvera, Sofia Olvera, Trent Wachsmann, Blair Wachsmann, Arabella Wachsmann and his ex-wife and dear friend: Vickie Sams.
Jose would tell us to always be sure to say ‘I love you’, because ‘I love you’ can change the world. Though we mourn, we find solace in knowing that he leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to those he loved.
