Jonathon James Myrick (JBerd) of Waco, Texas was born June 27, 1984 peacefully passed away on May 19, 2016, surrounded by his sister, mother and grandparents and immersed in their love.
A celebration of his life will be marked by a memorial service scheduled for Saturday May 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Please dress casually and come celebrate with us as we share fond memories of our time with Jonathon.
Those left behind to continue to honor his life are his mother Jamie Schmitt of Hewitt, father Jay Myrick, step-father Kevin Lentz of Woodway, sister Victoria (Tori) Lentz of Dallas, grandparents Patricia Lewis Dutton and Maurice Dutton of Woodway, Connie McDonald of Glendale, Arizona and Patricia Myrick of Dallas, Uncles Scott Schmitt of Amarillo, Matt Schmitt and wife Cindy Schmitt of Fairview, cousins Kyle and Preston Schmitt of Fairview, Sierra Lawson of Happy and Emmi Schmitt of Pampa as well as many honorary Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and Little Buddies along with special friends whom he considered family; Tim Padgett, Michael Dorcey, Brandon Hart, Nikki Helleck, Jason Sexton and his wife Nicole, Alissa Dorcey, Bailey Cale, Garrett Clemmons, and his heart Katie Saporito.
Jonathon was preceded in death by grandparents James Preston Schmitt, John King Myrick. Ruby Lentz, Edward Lentz as well as Cathy Dorcey whom he loved like a second mother.
As a child his favorite activities were speed skating, roller hockey and go cart racing. As an adult he was known as being a supportive friend to many, a fiercely protective brother to his sister Tori and partaking in many a Christmas Eve “bad idea” fest with his closest friends.
Special thank you to Jennifer Prall with Friends For Life and Jonathon’s Westview Manor family, you all gave the beautiful boy back to his family. As we honor Jonathon’s giving spirit please consider a donation to NAMI-Waco, Friends For Life or a charity of your choosing in his memory.
