John "Bo" Ashley III, 72, of Waco passed away suddenly Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, October 1, 2018 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. A Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.
John William Ashley III was born in Lake Village, Arkansas on September 7, 1946 to John William Ashley, Jr and Betty Vail Ashley. He was raised in Eudora, Arkansas where he was a 1965 graduate of Eudora High School. Bo enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends and family. Horse races, BBQing, bowling, playing pool, listening to country music and golf were some of his favorite activities, but nothing was as enjoyable to him as being with his grandchildren.
As a young man, Bo moved to Waco. In Waco, John started a paint business as a painting contractor, but in 1987 he found his fit in working for Cash America, until his retirement. In 1984 Bo became a member of the Masonic Lodge #24, and served there for 34 years.
Bo was preceded in death by his father, John Ashley II, and a nephew, Brandon Ashley.
Left to cherish John's memory are, daughter, Lindsey Ashley; grandchildren, Leasha Goldman, and "Jay Bird" Zavier Hinojosa; his loving mother, Betty Ashley McCoy; siblings, Darlene Morris, Susan and Bill Forshage, and Greg and Tami Ashley; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Bob and Paul; furbabies, Reeses, and Precious.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the nurses and staff of Waco Cardiology and Providence ER, your efforts were appreciated.
