Jo Anne (Rhinhart) Phillips

Jo Anne Phillips passed away Saturday night, Feb. 8, 2020, in Temple, Texas at the age of 85.  The visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Tuesday Feb. 18, 2020, in the Chapel of Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr.  The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday Feb. 19, 2020, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Rose Mound Cemetery.

Jo Anne Phillips was born to the parents of Wesley Rhinhart and Ella Louise Alexander on September 24, 1934. To this union one sister, Jeraldine Polk, was also born and all of whom have preceded her in death.
Jo Anne accepted Christ at an early age. Throughout her life, she was always faithful and loved the Lord. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High school and continued her interest in education throughout adulthood. She furthered her skills and knowledge through online courses and received her diploma and certificates.
She loved to play games, always ready for a good card game, dominoes, scrabble, or Monopoly. She was a superb seamstress. She worked for Nardis of Dallas and was promoted to the top seamstress. Employment also included working for TI (Texas Instruments), bookkeeping and starting her own Day Care (BeeBell Day Care). She really loved children and was an animal lover. Later in life, she united with Jesse Phillips in matrimony and became a mother to his daughter Renee.

Jo Anne moved to Central Texas where she lived among her church friends whom she related to as family and who were a source of comfort to her, along with family members and close friends, toward the end of her life’s journey.

Jo Anne was loved much by all, to know her was to love her. She leaves to cherish her memories, Regina Williams (Mesquite) Cousin, Yvonne Thomas (Ft. Worth), Baby Bro Larry Humphrey (Ft. Worth) Patricia Phillips (Ft. Worth) Renee Phillips (Ft. Worth)  Grand Nieces and Nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
