Jimmy Baxley

Jimmy Baxley, 79 of Waco, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013. A visitation will be 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday, November 24, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr.

Jimmy was born to J. W. and Minnie Baxley on September 1, 1934 in Asa, Texas. Jimmy was one of four children. He was a member of the Downsville Baptist Church. In 1956 Jimmy entered and served with the United States Marine Corps. After his service, Jimmy began to drive trucks. The Open road seemed to call him, and long-haul truck driving was his love.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Johnny Salazar and wife, Dora, of Waco; daughters, Teri Baxley-Van Niel and husband, Robert, of Waco, Carolyn Elizabeth Baxley and husband, Tyson, of GA, brother, Danny Baxley and wife, Marie; sister, Tina Sue Donaldson and husband, Harry; brother, Steve Baxley and wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Michael Salazar, Emelia Salazar, Jaime Salazar, David Reese, Alyssa Reese, and Taylor Reese; 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
