Jesus Gonzalez of Moody, was called home July 31, 2012.
Jesus was born on April 20, 1947 in Musquiz, Mexico. He was the youngest of eight children from Antonio Gonzalez and Manuela Armas. He was a man of different traits. Jesus loved working on his land and feeding all of his animals. He loved reminiscing of old memories and loved going to the dances. Jesus loved his family unconditionally; he adored spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Celia Gonzalez and son Roy Gonzalez.
He is survived by his five children; daughters Maria Contreras and husband, Edward, of Moody, and Anjelica Garcia and husband, Avaristo, of McGregor; sons, Jesse Gonzalez and wife Carolyn, of Moody, and Ruben Gonzalez and wife, Louisa, of Oglesby; ten grandchildren, Erika, Jeremy, Daniel, Adrianna, Justin, Ruben, Arcelia, Haily, Isaac, and Ronaldo; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Oscar Gonzalez, Edward Contreras, George Gonzalez, Heriberto Rocha, Augustine Jiminez and Antonio Gonzalez.
Mr. Gonzalez had a saying “God is big, God says move and I will help you”. He would also say “Family should see one another because without each other, we are not a family”.
