Jesus Alaniz DeLeon

Jesus Alaniz DeLeon, 76, of Lorena passed away on June 7, 2022. The funeral service will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022.
Jesus, known to his family and friends as Chuy, was born July 25, 1945 in Goldfinch, Texas. He graduated from Pearsall High School in 1964. Chuy met his wife Estella in 1971, and they married on November 9, 1974. They had two sons.
Chuy joined the Marine Corps in 1967, where he served in Vietnam before being honorably discharged four years later. Upon leaving the Marine Corps, Chuy attended Texas A&I University at Kingsville. He became an Electrical Engineer at Texas Power and Light, which later became TXU. After retirement from TXU, Chuy continued work in the electrical engineering field.
Chuy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters Anna, Elena and Bella. He also enjoyed camping and keeping up with the latest news.
Chuy was preceded in death by his parents Celestino Sr. and Maria DeLeon and sister, Santos Gutierrez.
Survivors are Estella DeLeon, wife of 47 years; sons Christopher (Tara) and Ryan; granddaughters Anna, Elena and Bella; brother Celestino DeLeon, Jr. (Estela).
