Jeffrey Kenneth Wooten

December 27, 1987 — April 2, 2025

Jeffrey Kenneth Wooten, 37, of Bruceville, Texas, passed away on the morning of April 2, 2025, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Woodway. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM, followed by a memorial service at 12:30 PM.

Jeffrey was born on December 27, 1987, in Decatur, Georgia. From a young age, he had a strong spirit and curious mind. He loved playing football and guitar and carried that same energy into everything he pursued. A graduate of Midway High School in Hewitt, Texas, Jeffrey went on to proudly serve five years in the U.S. Navy as an air traffic controller.

On March 1, 2021, he married the love of his life, Ellen Andrews, and together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and shared dreams. Jeffrey was the proud owner of Cen-Tex Pest Control in Lorena, where he served the community with dedication and integrity for over 12 years.

Jeffrey was a man of many passions. He was a collector of historical weapons and had a deep love for strength training. He was a passionate learner who never stopped exploring, always eager to understand how things worked and never one to shy away from a good debate. His sharp mind, quick wit, and love for meaningful conversation left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, J.R. and Joyce Jones; his paternal grandfather, John C. Wooten, Sr.; and his cousin, Adam Wooten.

Jeffrey is survived by his beloved wife, Ellen Andrews Wooten; his children from a previous marriage, Gabriel and Hallie; his parents, Don and Shaye Wooten; his sister, Chelsea Lynn and husband Colton Lynn; his paternal grandmother, Katherine A. Andrews; nephews, Luke and Jake Lynn, Bryson O'Briant, and Kyle Williams; and niece, Josette “Josie” Williams.

He is also survived by his uncles, John Wooten Jr. and wife Marsha, and Mike Wooten and wife Angela; his aunt, Sonya Mumford and husband Robert; cousins, Lauren Wooten-Woodruff and husband Will, Michelle Wooten Hooks and husband Brian, Amber Jones and Reed, Tiffany Jones and Tyler; along with a host of extended family and friends who will miss him deeply.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who has reached out with prayers, kind words, and condolences. Your love and support have been a comfort during this difficult time.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
