Jeb Isaac Clemons, 40, passed away on July 26 at his home in Lorena. Loved ones surrounded him as he slipped away, and his soul went to be with the Lord. A memorial reception and visitation will be held on Saturday, August 3 from 2-5 pm at First Baptist Church in Lorena. Come prepared to share stories and memories of Jeb.
Jeb was born in Lufkin, Texas on May 2, 1984. The son of Billy and Alea Clemons, Jeb grew up in east Texas. As a youngster, he loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Top Gun, and was a rough-and-tumble kid. He was a stand-out football player at Groveton High School. He became a certified mechanic at TSTC in Waco and was a master mechanic for over 15 years. He was an invaluable employee of Christian Brothers Automotive in both Woodway and Temple. He met his wife, Stacy (Gilmore) in 2007 and they settled in Lorena soon after. He is the father of Lance (19), Luke (14), and Alexis (8).
Jeb was a larger-than-life guy. He was always quick with a funny story and held the attention of anyone within earshot. He loved his family, guns, trucks, and dogs. He enjoyed being home, and you could find him on his recliner watching TV or playing video games in the evenings after work. A person would find it difficult to find a better friend. He was a man you could count on to offer advice, a helping hand, or solutions when there didn't seem to be any.
Jeb was a loving husband and father, a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was a blessing to all who knew him.
Jeb was preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Dot Clemons and Thelma O'Quinn. He is survived by his wife Stacy, his children Lance, Luke, and Alexis; sister Collyn Ortiz and husband Pete; sister Carrie Clemons and husband Scott Ray; brother Joe Clemons and wife April. He is also survived by nephews and nieces Tres, Troy, Addie, CeeCee, Billy, aunt Angie Clemons, and his extended family.
