Jean smith, a McGregor native, passed away Friday night September 29, 2017, at the age of 69. A Memorial Services will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, 8220 Woodway Dr. Waco, Texas with Rev. Bruce Cox and Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Immediately followed by a visitation until 8:00 P.M.
Mrs. Smith was born February 6, 1948, in McGregor, Texas, the daughter of the late Rupert Wesley and Louise (Pursley) Bottoms where she was a 1966 graduate of McGregor High School. On March 11, 1966, she married Roy Eugene Smith in Moody. For many years, she was employed by Smeed Manufacturing in McGregor until her 1994 retirement.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed serving her Lord and helping others through White Mound Cowboy Church. She also enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and being with her family and grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Naomi Bostick and Faye Morgan.
Survivors include her husband Roy Smith; two sons, Kevin Smith and wife Jennifer, Clint Smith and wife Jennifer; two brothers, Wesley Bottoms, Donald Ray Bottoms and wife Debra; two sisters, Kay Hoehn and husband Larry, Mackie Rummel; grandchildren, Raygen Smith, Hannah Smith and boyfriend Wyatt Burch, Gage Smith, Riley Smith and Cooper Smith.
