JD Bost

J.D. Bost, 56, of Waco passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 19th, 2018 at Crossroads Fellowship, 405 Estates Dr. Visitation with the family will be 3- 5 p.m. Sunday at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive.

JD was born July 24, 1961 and although he lived in Waco and McGregor throughout his childhood, he always considered McGregor his hometown. JD graduated high school in 1979 and began his career in manufacturing. Soon thereafter, he escalated to manufacturing management which gave him the opportunity to travel the world. JD was amazingly skilled in many fields, and later in life left the manufacturing business to venture out on many different endeavors which included construction and remodeling, the barbecue business, and laser engraving, just to name a few. JD seemed to have the Midas touch in all of the fields of businesses he was in, but his life's passion was fishing. If you knew JD, you knew he was a fisherman. If you were looking for JD, you would look for the boat. If the boat wasn't home, neither was he. JD was an active participant in life. He was a loving husband, devoted father, treasured Pawpaw, an entrepreneur, a mentor, and a great friend. JD was so many things to so many people and his legacy will be forever remembered. He touched the hearts of more people than anyone could've ever imagined. He was the personification of random acts of kindness. JD recently found his home at Crossroads Fellowship Church and his family and friends know that he is now fishing with Jesus for eternity.

JD is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Nancy Bost. He is survived by his loving wife Andreinna (Andi) Bost, sisters Cathleen Brewer and husband David, Shelley Judd and husband Tim, children Ashley Lee and husband Kyle, Joshua Bost and wife Jennifer, Jeremy Bost and significant other Erme Dominguez, Kelsey Allison and husband David, and Katie Gentsch ; grandchildren include Breanna Lee, Kristen Lee, Fischer Lee, Easton Lee, Tyler Tierce, Landon Sykora, Blakely Bost, Kilo, and Ella Grace Allison; as well as nephew Kevin Brewer and niece Anna Brewer.
