Janelle Rogers

Janelle Pack Rogers, 91, of Crawford, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 21st at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Crawford Cemetery. Visitation with Janelle's family will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the evening of Thursday, February 20th at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive.

Janelle was born April 26, 1922 in Crawford to Horace Opher Pack and Mattie Patterson Pack. She graduated from Crawford High School in 1941. On her 21st birthday, Janelle married Charles A. Rogers of Waco at Shiloh Baptist Church in Crawford. Soon after, they began to travel with and working for Cowboy Evangelist, B. B. Crimm of Marshall, Texas. Charles and Janelle moved and installed his revival tents and equipment throughout Texas and the Southeast. Later, Charles and Janelle founded and operated Aquila and Priscilla Tentmakers, Incorporated of Speegleville along with their son, Charlie and daughter, Sharon.

Janelle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; and her five older siblings.

She is survived by her son, Charles Horace Rogers; daughter, Sharon Rogers Hawkins; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
