Jana Marie (Barker) Woycheshin

Jana Marie Barker Woycheshin, 56, of the Waco area, passed away suddenly late Wednesday, April 21, 2021. A Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 25th at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.  A visitation with her family will begin at 2:00 pm. Mask are optional.  If you are unable to attend, the service will be live streamed on Grace Gardens FaceBook page.

Jana was born in Waco, Texas on December 21, 1964 to Clifford and Bonnie Barker.  She was of one of five children. She grew up going to La Vega and graduated in 1983. Then went on to complete her education in early childhood development, where she has spent most of her years teaching and nurturing young children.

Jana and Doug Woycheshin made two trips to China to bring home their beautiful daughters, Haleigh and Heather. She dedicated her life to nurturing, supporting, and encouraging them to pursue their artistic and athletic abilities. Also, she enjoyed being the loving caregiver to her mother in the last few years of her life. They spent hours baking, playing scrabble, reading their bible, and laughing together.

She was an avid cross stitcher and scrapbooker. She cherished spending time with family and close friends. During these last four years, she connected with her best friend, Chuck Buchanan who has been a great shoulder to lean on during good and challenging times.

She will be remembered for her smile, faith, and generosity. Her faith in God was her way of life.

She will be greatly missed by many friends, family, and all those whose lives she touched.
