James David Parker of Waco, Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 2, 2018 surrounded by his family. David was loved by all those who knew him not only because of his intelligence and sense of humor, but also because he was a caring, loving soul.
David was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodway.
David was born October 31, 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Dr. and Mrs. John C. Parker. He was a graduate of MacArthur High School, Irving, Texas and Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
David is survived by his parents, Dr. John C. Parker and Mary Parker, Waco, Texas, brother John C. Parker II and wife Barbara, St. Louis, Missouri, brother Paul A. Parker and wife Landa, Irving, Texas, and sister Lanora L. Aucoin and husband Frank, Waco, Texas.
David is also survived by nephew Adam R. Parker, Dallas, Texas, niece Emily P. Butler and husband John, Clarendon Hills, Illinois, nephew Bradley S. Parker and wife Carolyn, Dallas, Texas, Zachary G. Parker, St. Louis, Missouri, and Maxwell P. Aucoin, Waco, Texas, all whom adored and loved their Uncle David.
David is also survived by his Aunt Delores Raines, Tulsa, Oklahoma and his uncles, Tom Parker and wife Pat, Omaha, Nebraska and Dr. Larry Swango, Auburn, Alabama, as well as numerous cousins.
Services will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Providence Park Chapel, located at 300 West Highway 6 in Waco, preceded by a private family burial. Visitation will be Monday, February 5, 2018 from 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.
