James Elton Hunt passed away Monday morning at Hillcrest Hospital at the age of 78. He was born in Petteway, Texas, to Elbert Elton Hunt and Pearl Rhodes Hunt. James graduated from Kosse High School and served in Korea for the United States Army. James was a Mason with the J. H. Gurley Unit, #337. James and Virginia are members of the Lorena Baptist Church.
James married Virginia Kyle on November 3, 1951. They were married for 59 years and have one son Kyle Ray Hunt, his wife Patty, grandsons Robert Hunt and wife Sandra, Michael Hunt and great-granddaughters Kadynce Hunt and Kenley Hunt. James is survived by his brother’s wife Margaret Hunt and niece Toni Jo Montgomery and her husband Randy.
Jameswas Supervisor of Print and Mail at the Texas Farm Bureau where he retired in 1994 after 37 years of service.
James was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Maynard Hunt.
Graveside services will be 10AM, July 2, 2011 at White Rock Cemetery, Ross, Texas.
The family would like to thank the Hospice and the nursing staff at Hillcrest Hospital for their loving care.
