James Guthrie

James “Todd” Guthrie passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Waco, Texas. A Graveside service will take place Saturday, July 20, beginning at 10AM at Waco Memorial Park with Pastor Ronnie Holmes officiating.

Todd was born March 25, 1965, in Waco, Texas to Connie (Brown) and JT Guthrie. Growing up Todd enjoyed playing football and baseball, showing pigs and steers in FFA, bull riding and riding dirt bikes. He graduated from Midway High School in 1984.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and was proud of his career in welding which led him to working in Iraq at Camp Fallujah and Camp Taji while working for Halliburton.

In his later years he resided in the Valley Mills area with his loving wife of 20 years, Trisha Guthrie, before she preceded him in death in 2021.

Preceding Todd in death is his wife, Trisha Guthrie, Father, JT Guthrie, and sister, Kathleen Denise Guthrie.

Todd is survived by his mother, Connie Guthrie, 3 sons, Michael (Haley), Justin and Jared Guthrie, daughters, Nikki Picon, Amy Malzac and Jessica West, and 3 grandchildren Marilu and Grayson Guthrie and Seth West.
