James Chaney

James Q. Chaney age 65, of Bruceville passed away Thursday June 14, 2012 at a local hospital. Graveside Services will be 10 AM, Monday June 18, 2012 at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday June 17, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Jimmy was born on February 13, 1947 in Temple to John Bishop (Bish) and Rebecca Quine (Becky) Chaney. He attended Bruceville-Eddy Schools and TSTI in Waco. He was a SGT. in the United States Air Force. He retired after 30 years with the Katy and Union Pacific Railroads in 2010. He loved to hunt on his land in West Texas and in his spare time collected and worked on classic cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Robert (Bob) Claude Chaney and a sister Mary Ann Chaney Tolbert.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Yoshi Chaney of Bruceville. Two brothers John Bishop Chaney, Jr. and wife, Judy of Lorena, Jeff Chaney of Bruceville and three sisters, Pam Ewing and husband, J.D. of Speegleville, Peggy Wolf and husband Dwaine of Troy and Cheryl Brooks and husband Ricky of Eddy. Uncle Bo is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
