James Bogan Jr

Jim Bogan, beloved father and grandfather and local businessman, passed away Oct.ober 20, 2010, after a long illness. A memorial service will be 10AM Monday, October 25, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home with subsequent interment in Grand Saline, Texas.

Jim was the son of James M. and Leta C. Gogan of Grand Saline, Texas. He graduated from Grand Saline High School, Tyler Junior College, and Southern Methodist University. Jim was a CPA with Price Waterhouse for many years and a Vice President with Tandy Corporation/Radio Shack in the 1970’s. After moving to Waco in 1978 he was a business owner, first of Island Plastics, then of ICS Jail Supplies. Jim was a loving, caring, and generous father to his two sons and six grandchildren. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye. He loved to spend time with them and was an enduring presence in their lives.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his brother and sister in law, Phillip and Connie Bogan, of Keller, Texas; two sons and their wives, Cary and Jane Bogan and Wyatt and Karem Bogan, both of Waco; seven grandchildren, Nathaniel and Laura Bogan of Charlottesville, Va., and Jennifer, Joshua, Ellen and Katherine Bogan, all of Waco.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the loving care he received at Wesley Woods and from Providence Hospice Care The last months of his life.
