James Arnold

James Charles Arnold, 67, of Hewitt, went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2014. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Grace Gardens Funeral Home chapel. Burial with military honors will be at 2:00 p.m. that same day at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday morning.

James was born on December 25, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa to Frank and Winona Arnold. James served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Forrestal from 1968 to 1971, attaining the rank of PC-3. During his time in the Navy he was awarded the national defense service medal and the Vietnam service medal. After his time in the Navy he went on to work as a food service manager for P.F.M. Inc.

James is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kay Arnold; son, James Arnold; daughter, Angela Vincent and her husband, Rick. The highlight of his life was his four grandchildren Christie and Cody Vincent and Logan Arnold and Grace Younts.
