Jack Walter

Jack Hayes Walter, 75, of McGregor, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A graveside service will be Monday, November 25, 2024, beginning at 11am at Crawford Cemetery with Rev. Richard Jones preaching the service.

Jack was born on December 28, 1948, in Waco, Texas to Mary Louise (Britton) and John Robert Walter. He grew up in the McGregor area and attended McGregor schools through graduation. He was a truck driver for many years and up until retirement worked for Fergusen Distribution Center/UPS in McGregor.

Jack enjoyed roping and riding horses, driving 18 wheelers, fishing and golfing with friends. Wherever jack went, a good time was sure to follow.

Jack is preceded in death by his mother and father his son David, brother, Robert Walter and sister Wanda Pomerenke.

Jack is survived by his children Joy Walter and fiancé Brandon Lavin, Jackie Walter, Samuel Bass, Melissa Worrell and husband Wes, 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren also left to cherish Jacks memory is his loving and furry companion, Pup.
