Ira Ferguson

Ira Ferguson, formerly of Miami, OK, died December 15, 2010 in Waco, TX. Ira was born March 5, 1922 in Tahlequah, to Gus and Nancy (Ghormley) Ferguson. He married Maxine Stevens on June 29, 1948. He lived in the Miami, OK area since 1973 after moving from California. He moved to West, TX in 2006.
He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Navy, and he was a Gold Card member of the Professional Cowboys Rodeo Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Ferguson. Survivors include son Larry Ferguson and wife Lois of West, TX, son Tom Ferguson of Miami, OK. Ira had two grandsons, Brad Ferguson of West, TX and Matt Ferguson of Ardmore, OK and two granddaughters Brooke Ferguson of West, TX and Marsee Ferguson of Norman, OK. Surviving sisters are Barbara Powell, Vian, OK, Hester Dekker, and Edith Setser, of Santa Rosa, CA.

Graveside services will be Monday, December, 20 at 1 pm at the Tahlaquah City Cemetery in Tahlaquah, OK.
