Ina Gordon

Ina Gordon, 53, of Waco, passed away on January 20, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Grace Garden Funeral Home, Waco with a Celebration of Life service to follow on Saturday Jan. 26 at 10 a.m at Fellowship Bible Church.

Ina was born February 20, 1965 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Julio Ramirez and Emma Serrano. At three years old, her mother moved her to Pittsburgh, PA. It is in Pittsburgh that Ina spent her early years through early adulthood. It was in her college years, she met the love of her life Paul Gordon on a dance floor in February 1984. The two were wed that August.

It is in the city of Pittsburgh, they welcomed their first two children, and their third child was born in Morgantown WV. Ina lived with her family in multiple cities before moving to Waco TX in August 2013. It was here that she became the connections coordinator at Fellowship Bible Church, where she utilized her immense gifts of hospitality to connect families and friends to each other and Christ.

Ina was a vibrant, fun-loving, loyal and beautiful wife, mother, aunt, sister and friend to many. She lived her life with abundant and contagious faith. The fullness and impact of her life is unsummarizable.

Survivors include her beloved husband Paul and her three children Josh, Natalie and Liam.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to doctors and nursing staff at Hillcrest Medical Center for their care during Ina’s last hospitalization.
