Howard Hagar, a respected business owner and cherished family man, passed away on December 7, 2024, in Woodway, Texas. Born on October 17,1929, in, Winters, Texas, Howard dedicated his life to his passions, both in his career and with his loved ones.

A graduate of Winters High School, Howard furthered his education at Angelo State College, where he laid the foundation for a successful entrepreneurial journey. He was known as the owner of several beloved local establishments, including Holt's Department Store, Peppers record store, Athletes Turf, and Lanelle Hagar's Christmas Store. Through these businesses, he positively impacted the community and left a lasting legacy.

In addition to his entrepreneurial spirit, Howard was a proud member of the Army Band during the Korean War. His dedication to service exemplified his character as a hard worker and risk taker, traits he carried throughout his life. Howard’s personality was often characterized as that of a man of few words, yet his actions spoke volumes, demonstrating a relentless commitment to both his work and his family.

He is survived by his sons, Monte Hagar and his wife Darlene, and Mike Hagar and his wife Dalia. Howard was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren and a devoted great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren. While he has departed from this world, his spirit will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the memories he created.

Howard is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lanell, whose memory he cherished deeply. The family takes comfort in the love they shared and the legacy of devotion Howard leaves behind.
