Howard Felty

Howard Keith Felty, 84, of Waco passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at St. Catherine Center - Providence Park. Graveside services will be 11 a.m.Friday at Waco Memorial Park with the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating.
Howard was born in Alba to Walter "Fred" and Alma Felty September 23, 1929. The family moved to Waco before he began school. He graduated in 1947 from Waco Technical High School, which later became University High School. Howard began his career with Eli Witt Wholesale shortly afterward. Howard loved sales and enjoyed the many people who became his friends in his sales territories. He left Eli Witt after nearly thirty years and worked for Ponca Wholesale and later Sonny's Wholesale until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Bobbie Felty Green; brothers-in-law T.H. Jenkins, Jr., Mike Jenkins, and sister-in-law, Doris Jenkins.
Howard is survived by his wife of soon to be 62 years, Mary Jenkins Felty, of Waco; daughter Kim Pearson and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Katy Pearson and Bridger Pearson, all of Crawford; brothers, Steve Felty and wife, Marcie, Kenneth Felty and wife, Ruth, of San Antonio; brother-in-law, Jack Green, brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Rita Jenkins, sisters-in-law, Lelia Jenkins and Joyce Jenkins, and thirteen nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Providence Hospice for their loving care of Howard, and the family would also like to thank the St. Catherine's staff for their attention and care of Howard during his brief stay there and their continuing care of Mary.
