Henry Lippe, 93, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020. He was born March 20, 1927, in Crawford, Texas, to Augusta Muegge and Henry Lippe. He was a 1946 graduate of McGregor High School and attended Baylor University. In 1949, he married the love of his life, Mary Ann Hampel. Henry served his country in the United States Army.
Mr. Lippe was the owner and operator of Central Engineering of Waco for 12 years. He also had a farm and raised cattle. He loved the lakes and fishing. Henry was a faithful member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church and served as a Sunday School teacher, Church Council member, and a member of the choir. Henry was able to accomplish anything he set his mind to, leaving his family and friends to claim, there is nothing he couldn’t do, from gardening and growing, to fixing and building, as well as caring for others wherever needed.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Edwin and Albert Lippe; sisters, Edna Boemer, Elsie Boemer, and Anne Pierce.
Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife Mary Ann; sons, David and wife Marlene, Rick Goolsby and wife Mary; daughters, Elise Martin and husband Scott, Laura McRee and husband Scott; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Heartis of Waco for their loving care of Henry. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Matthew Lutheran Church would be what Henry would have preferred.
