Hella Haas

Hella Haas age 94 of Moody passed away at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be 10AM Wednesday March 24, 2010 at Moody Leon Methodist Church with Rev. Don Johnson and Rev. William Sterling officiating. Burial will follow at Moody Leon Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8PM at Moody Leon Methodist Church.
Hella was born March 23, 1915 to Henry and Minnie Karnowski in the Buckhorn community near Moody, TX. She married Albert Haas and they were married for over 50 years. She was mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family dearly. She spent the last 5 years at the Weston Inn in Temple where she enjoyed playing bingo and visiting with the other residents.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 1985, a son Charles Haas in 1988, a grandson and two brothers. She is survived by her son James Haas and his wife Carol, a daughter in law Nancy Haas Witt, a grandson Brad Haas and his wife Terry; granddaughters, Stacey Hubbard and her husband John, Kim Cosper and her husband Johnny, Kasi Davis and her husband Jason; 6 great grandsons, Kalyn, Scoot and Cody Hubbard, Dylan Cosper, Wesley and Nathan Davis and a great granddaughter, Erin Davis. Donations in memory of Hella may be made to the Moody Leon Cemetery in care of Virginia Sells, 16017 Siler Rd. Moody, TX 76557.
