Harold Cady

Harold James Cady, age 73, of Hewitt passed away January 14, 2012. A funeral service is scheduled for January 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Hewitt with Rev Stephen Rynearson officiating. Interment will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. The family will have visitation from 6-8 p.m. on January 18, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Harold James Cady was born on May 16, 1938 in Mobridge, South Dakota, son of the late George and Emilia Cady. He was a 1956 graduate of Mobridge High School in South Dakota. In 1957, Harold served his country in the U.S. Army, while being deployed to Korea. He worked for Barnes Lumber Co, Cameron Wholesale and Foxworth-Galbraith for over 40 years in the lumber business as manager and in sales.
Harold will be remembered as a generous, helpful friend with a keen sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Harold is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pat Cady of Hewitt, son Dewayne Cady and wife Paula of Bakersfield, California, daughter Diane Frank of Lorena, grandchildren Ensign Christopher Cady, Amanda Cady, Cody Frank, Kendall Frank and great grandchild Misty Frank, brother David Cady of Waco and sister Adeline Sulzle and husband Reginald of Dacono, Colorado and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Jim Patterson, Larry Shelburne, Stephen Melde, Cody Frank, Ensign Christopher Cady and Chris Meyer.

The Family wishes to thank Texas Oncology Center of Waco, Providence Hospice with specials thanks to doctors Keith Horner and Carl Chakmakjian.
