Biography

Gregorio J. de Leon passed away on October 26, 2009. He was born March 12, 1936, in Waco, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Catholic Church, with Father Roman Burgos officiating, and he will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 28, at 6:00 P.M. with the rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ninfa Rangel de Leon and father Martin de Leon; and brother Herman de Leon. He was survived by his wife of 44 years, Virginia Hernandez de Leon; one daughter, Kristina de Leon Bridger and husband Richard; and one grandson, Reese Jameison Bridger, all of Lorena, TX. He is also survived by his sisters, Margaret Pena, and husband Tony, Josephine Amaro and husband Johnny, and Lucy Rivas, and husband Arturo; and one brother, Mag de Leon, all of Waco. He has many nieces and nephews; and extended family Debbie Donohue and Scott Sparks and wife Brook, sons Jake and Jaidn of Gholson. A special thanks to Scott & White, and Hillcrest Hospice.
