Goldie Cunningham

February 16, 1919 — September 7, 2009

Goldie was born February 16, 1919 to Merle and Esther North in Wakefield, Kansas. She grew up and lived most of her life in the Fort Worth area . She was married to R.J. Cunningham. Goldie was a Girl Scouts Leader for many years and was also a water safety instructor for the American Red Cross. She also believed in volunteering for the community in which she lived. One of her biggest achievements was Beta Sigma Phi’s Women of the Year in 1986.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her daughter, Janene Cunningham.
She is survived by her son, James M. Cunningham and his wife Jackie of Waco; her grandson, James C. Cunningham and his wife, Iris; great-grandchildren, Zach and Zoe; and a niece and great niece.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Red Cross or the Girl Scouts of America.
