Gloria Fay (Holcek) Meadows

Gloria Meadows, 80, of Hewitt, Texas passed into eternal rest on Monday, May 22, 2023. A graveside service will be 11 am, Friday, May 26, 2023, at Waco Memorial Park, with Dr. Scott Rhodes officiating.  A viewing will be 9 am to 10 am, Friday, May 26, 2023, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Gloria was born on December 25, 1942, in Milam County, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Holcek.  She grew up on the family farm near Rosebud, Texas where she attended school and graduated in 1961.

On February 6, 1970, Gloria married Filton D. Meadows.  She worked for many years as a Customer Service Representative for different Insurance Agencies in Waco. She was a member of Brazos Meadows Baptist Church in Hewitt.

Gloria was always known for her artistic abilities and enjoyed many hobbies.  Including painting, quilting, sewing, and cooking.  She was a long-time volunteer at the Providence Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; three sisters; and a brother.

Gloria is survived by daughter, Mary Elizabeth Coker and husband Dwane; stepchildren, Jerry Meadows and wife Marsha, Nancy Beegle and husband Lynn, Mike Meadows and wife Cyndi; sister-in-law, Jeanette Holcek; brother-in-law, Jim Matthews; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
