Glenn Charles Kueck, 62, of Woodway Texas passed away October 23, 2016. Services will be Wednesday October 26, 11 am with a small viewing an hour before the service at Dayspring Baptist Church , 7900 Renewal Way, Waco, TX. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 25, from 6-8 pm at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr.
Glenn was born April 6, 1954 to Charles Henry and Betty Joy (Jarrard) Kueck in Abilene, Texas. As a baby, he was one of the youngest students attending Hardin Simmons University, trailing his parents to their classes. He later attended Hardin Simmons as an adult, studying the love of his life: music. While there, he met his second love, his wife Rebecca Bowman, who claims God sent her to Hardin Simmons to save Glenn from himself. Two wonderful children followed, Taylor Linden and Truett Jarrard, both of whom added joy to their life.
After working in the restaurant business for many years, Glenn decided to return to his love for music. He earned his Masters degree in Choral Conducting from Texas State University and started teaching music in public schools across Texas. Over the years, he taught Pre-K through college level courses, even teaching in the prison system at one time. He spent the last fifteen years inspiring the young students at Clifton Park Elementary in Killeen. He always said it was a long drive to work, but did it joyfully because he loved his colleagues and students, many whom would come back to visit, long after they had graduated and moved on to other schools. He also led congregational singing at Dayspring Baptist Church, and was deeply involved with the church community, whom he considered to be family.
He is predeceased by his father, Charles Kueck, stepfather, Edward Mann; and in-laws Herbert and Betty Bowman.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca, daughter Linden, son and wife Truett and Christen and the newest addition to the family, baby Madeline. Additional surviving family includes his mother, Betty Mann, brother and wife, Larry and Rhonda Kueck, sister and husband, Joy and Tim Ditto along with several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the building fund at Dayspring Baptist Church.
