Glen E. Hobart, 75, of Woodway, went to be with his Lord Sunday afternoon the 29th of June 2014. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday the 2nd of July at the First United Methodist Church of Waco with the Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating. A private family burial will be later. Visitation with Glen's family will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive.

Glen was born October 2, 1938 in Fort Worth. He graduated from Tech High School and went on to receive a degree in Accounting from Texas Christian University in 1964. While earning his CPA, he worked for American Amicable Life Insurance Company in Waco. He then moved to the Detroit area to work for Alexander Hamilton Life Insurance Company retiring as Senior Vice President of Operations.

He was fortunate in his career to be able to travel all over the world, but Glen's most anticipated trip was his annual fishing excursion to Canada with the same group of friends for 23 years. Glen was most proud of all the many achievements of his two sons and his grandchildren. He loved his God and his family so much. His goal was to be a good man.

Glen is survived by his wife, partner and best friend of 56 years, Sharon Hobart of Woodway; his two sons, Mike Hobart of Sebastopol, California and his two sons, Tate and Jack and Brian Hobart and wife, Christie of McKinney and their two sons, Taylor and Jonathan.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Ron Wilson, Dr. Wayne Falcone and his partners and associates at Waco Cardiology Associates and to the staff of Bluebonnet Hospice for their support and care for Glen.

In lieu of floral arrangements, memorials may be directed in Glen's memory to First United Methodist Church, 4901 Cobbs Drive Waco, TX 76710
