Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. Gladys Welborn Jacques, rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings on Monday, January 10, 2022, at the age of 78. The visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, January 13, 2022, in the Bluebonnet Parlor of Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr., Waco, Texas. The Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 14, 2022, at Waco Memorial Park.
Gladys was born December 23, 1943, in Marlin, Texas, the daughter of the late William Benjamin and Lila Mydora (Erskine) Cox.
She was a graduate of Marlin High School. She married William Clinton Welborn, who preceded her in death 1974. Later, she married William Clinton Jacques who has preceded her in death in 2001.
Gladys, a loving mother, enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys Football especially with her son-in-law Mike Boney. She was a very active person who enjoyed listening to all types of music and dancing. It has been said, Gladys never met a stranger and was always available to help others. She was a caring person, she cared for her family and her fur babies.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers Bobby and Billy Cox; sister, Hedi Goode.
Survivors include two daughters, Dhana Welborn, Amber and husband Mike Boney.
