Georgie Jewell Robinson of Oglesby, TX age 97, passed away on July 22, 2010. Funeral Services will be 1PM Saturday July 24, 2010 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel Ken Riley and Doyle Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby with Nathan Pruett preciding. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Friday July 23, 2010 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.
Georgie was born on November 13, 1912 to Charles Oliver and Geneva King Oliver. She married J.D. Robinson on June 16, 1934. She was a long time resident of Oglesby, TX and a member of the First Baptist Church of Oglesby for fifty plus years where she worked with small children whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband J.D. on November 6, 1984 and one granddaughter Daphne Walker, six siblings, four brothers and two sisters.
Georgie is survived by her three children Geneva Walker of Brenham and her husband Mickey, Tince Riley of Waco and her husband Kenneth, Mike Robinson of Temple and his wife Darlene; a sister Genoa Oliver Perry; one brother Jim Oliver; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Oglesby.
