George Miller

George Harold Miller, age 61, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012, at his home in Waco, Texas after battling cancer. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

George was born February 1, 1951, in Hazen, North Dakota to Harold J. and Ruth (Hornbacher) Miller. He graduated from Hazen High School and attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, graduating with a BA degree in business administration and history. George was a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and received his JD degree from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington. He married Carol Heinemeyer on September 1, 1973, in Hazen, North Dakota. In 1983, George began working for Texas Life Insurance Company in Waco, Texas until his death.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Harold J. Miller; and a sister, Marian Will.

George is survived by his wife Carol, children Amy Olivarez and husband Jaime, son Jonathan and wife, Ann; five granddaughters Lindsey, Haley, and Hannah Olivarez, Marley and Harper Miller; as well as his mother Ruth Miller; sisters Carolyn Feldman and Joyce Bloms; one brother, Max Miller; one uncle, Les Miller, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
