Gary "Kansas" Floyd Asbridge

Gary Floyd Asbridge, 76, of Waco passed away Monday, April 19, 2021. A time of Memorial will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the VFW in Hewitt.  Navy Honors will be rendered.

Gary was born November 15, 1944 in Hugo, Colorado to Winnie and Ray Asbridge.  Gary grew up and attended school in Salina, Kansas.  After graduation, he served his country in the US Navy for four years.  After his service in the Navy, he began his career in construction, moving his family to serval locations in California, Colorado, Kansas, Arizona, New Mexico and finally a break down in Waco, Texas as their final location.  While in Waco, he worked for Lone Star Maintenance for many years.  Later he became a transport specialist for UPS, where he retired.

Gary embraced being a Texan, his great loves were boats, guns, and dogs.  He was often found at the VFW with his friends.

He was preceded in death by, his parents; sisters, Shirley, Joan; brother, Jake; and grandson, Maverick Cole.

Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Sandy; children, Jennifer Knox and husband Randy, Gary Ray Asbridge, Brent Abbott, James Slade, Carrie Abraham; grandchildren, Skylar, Madisyn, Zack, Matt, Christina, Brittney, Christian, Noah, Lindsey, James Nathan, Alisa; 9 great grandkids; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
