Gary Todd, age 60 of Waco, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at a local hospital with his family by his side. Celebration of life services will be Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Toby officiating.
Gary was born June 17, 1950, in Plainview, Texas, to Rudolph and Muriel Todd. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1968 and married his high school sweetheart, Vicky Reese, in 1971. They had three children, and Gary worked as a court reporter. Gary was a true family man and a faithful follower of Christ, reciting Psalm 118:24 every morning: “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!”
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Vicky of 39 years; a son, Justin Todd; two daughters, Natalie George and husband Clinton, and Kristin Stires and husband David; brother, Billy Todd and wife Sheila Kay; two sisters, Donna Smith and husband Bill, and Barbara Taylor and husband Windell; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers any memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, Office of Development, 100 Hillcrest Medical Blvd., Waco, TX 76712, 254-202-9500; and/or First Baptist Church of Woodway, 101 Ritchie Road, Waco, TX 76712, 254-772-9696.
