Gary Owen

Gary Owen, 61, of Waco, passed away July 20. 2016. Memorial services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 30, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Gary was born to AJ and Neva Owen on July 23,1954 in Waco, TX. He attended Richfield High School and worked as a Chemical Operator for Dow Chemical in Freeport, TX. Gary married his childhood sweetheart Sue Stegemoller on May 11th, 2006. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved the outdoors. He was also an exceptional self-taught guitarist. Gary was selfless in demonstrating his support and unconditional love for his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Cheryl, and brother Jay.

Survivors include wife Sue Owen, children Leann Chisholm, Andy Owen, Ryan Brown, Ashley Swanson, Austin Brown, sister Linda Buckberry, sister-in-law Vicky Bishnow, nephews Jason Owen and Chris Buckberry, niece Stephanie Buckberry, and five grandchildren.
