Freddie Spry

Freddie Brian Spry passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Fred was a son, older brother, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed playing with his grandson, sports, and firearms. He made an effort to keep in touch in recent years, growing stronger bonds with family and friends. Often stubborn, he was soft underneath. Through the years, whether delivering bread at Mrs. Baird's, driving for USA Truck, or working the gun counter at Cabella's, Fred was a dedicated and dependable employee that took pride in his work, always came in early, and often made jokes at work, particularly to lighten the mood and make people laugh. He is preceded in death by his wife Martha Jean Gibson in 2012 and his mother, Norma Joyce Collins, in 2013. He is survived by his two sons, Robert and Brian Spry, his father, Fredrick "Smokey" Spry, brothers, Bill and Tom, and sister, Stacey Porter. Taken too soon, he will be missed. He also leaves behind a daughter-in-law, a grandson, four nieces, and three nephews.
