Freddie Ferguson

October 25, 1935 — June 30, 2012

Fred Lee Ferguson went to be with the Lord and Savior, June30, 2012 at home with his family by his side. Visitation will be 6-8PM on July 03, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home located on 8220 Woodway Drive, Woodway. Funeral services will be at 10AM, July 05, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church at Badger Ranch.

Fred was born October 25, 1935 in Waco to John William (JW) and Gertie Ozell Ferguson. Hemarried his high school sweetheart Betty Jane Vorderkunz on January 7, 1955.Early in life he served in the US Naval Reserve. Fred was employed at Waco Cameron Mills then wentonto work at O-I Glass Plant where he retired after 34 years. He enjoyed attending the different sporting events when it came to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed working with Baylor Athletics’ Concessions when called upon duringhis retirement years.Fred was a very active member and served as an elder of Trinity Lutheran Church, Waco.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Fred is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years Betty Jane Ferguson; a son, Dennis Lee Ferguson and wife Melanie of Lorena; a daughter, Pamela Jane Gajdosik and husband Louis Charles of West.Two sisters, Francis Hoffman of Buffalo, TX;Darlene Grigsby and husband Ronnie of McGregor; and a brother, John Burnette Ferguson of Waco. Grandsons, Jeremy Ferguson and wife Jennifer of Lorena, and Joseph Ferguson and wife Chelsea of Richmond,VA, and granddaughter, Amanda Gajdosik of Baltimore, MD. Great Granddaughters JaynieFerguson, Jentry Ferguson, and Harper Ferguson. Brother-in-laws Jim and wife Jean Vorderkunz of Robinson, Tom and wife Melinda Vorderkunz of Woodway, John and wife Nancy Vorderkunz of Robinson. Sister-in-laws Mildred and husband Paul Kunze of Waco, Alice Nussman of Waco, Edna and husband Marvin Kunze of Robinson. Many loving nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be JohnnyThornton, John Ferguson, Ronnie Grigsby, Patrick Minnix, Tom Vorderkunz, and Dean Powell.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

His family would like to express their deepest thanks to their family and friends for all of their continued thoughts, support, and prayers. They would like to especially thank Michelle, Trina, and Yarnell with Providence Hospice for their devoted care, as well as Dr. Boss for his medical professionalism and support.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be designated to Trinity Lutheran Church at Badger Ranch or the charity of your choice.
