She graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and later became a devoted docent volunteer at Cameron Park Zoo, where she spent 12 years educating visitors and sharing her love for wildlife. Additionally, Freda was a cherished member of Christ the King Church in Waco, Texas, where her faith and spirit touched the lives of many.
In September of 1962, Freda married Jerry Gilbert in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter until his passing. Freda is survived by their son, Jerry P. Gilbert, Jr., who carries on her legacy of kindness and dedication.
Freda Gilbert will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to her profession, her passion for community service, and the deep love she had for her family.
